Forgiven People Forgive People 40x60
Forgiven People Forgive People 40x60
We’ve all been wronged.
And if we’re honest… we’ve all wronged others.
In Matthew 18, Peter asked Jesus,
“How many times should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?”
Jesus replied, “Not seven… but seventy times seven.”
(Some translations say seventy-seven times.)
But either way, Jesus wasn’t giving us a number to count.
He was making a point:
stop keeping score.
This message of forgiveness is about mercy, not about math.
That’s why this piece features tally marks—
but not exactly seventy times seven.
That was never the point.
Jesus used that number symbolically:
Seven in Scripture represents completion.
Multiplied, it emphasizes continual, complete forgiveness.
Not a total… but a lifestyle.
Why forgive like that?
Because that’s what Jesus did for us.
Ephesians 4:32 says,
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
We don’t forgive because people deserve it.
We forgive because we’ve been forgiven.
Forgiven people forgive people.
That’s the power of the gospel.
